Description Of Work: Took up old carpet, laid new wooden floor.
Member Comments: I had to postpone several times and Danny was very flexible. He went to the effort to bring personally a sample of the wood to be used, so I could preview the color. He always returned calls quickly and answered questions quickly. He gave me very explicit details on what I needed to do to prepare. I over prepared, putting sheets over all the furniture in the adjoining room. There was no need. They were very clean, efficient, and worked steadily to complete the job in half a day. They cleaned up after themselves, and there was virtually no dust in other areas of the house. They were responsive, hard workers, who listened to my requests, checking with Danny with any questions, who answered them immediately. They returned the next morning to install the quarter round, taking about an hour.
The deal was $999 for 200 sq ft of wooden flooring, installed. Removing carpet, staples, installing thresholds, and quarter round added another $590.
The floor is sparkling and exquisite, with no squeaks, which they were concerned about since they could not get to the floor underneath to find the joists. They used longer nails, and walking on the floor is less squeaky than walking on the carpet.
I am very impressed with the quality and attention to detail, and the final product. I recommend them highly.

Danny arrived on time for the initial appointment and when the work began each day. My wife and I were blown away with how well the floors came out. We had a pet stain in our living room from the previous owners. After Danny completed the floors we could not tell where the spot was prior. My brother came over and asked did we have new floors installed. Danny is very knowledgable and highly skilled with hardwood floors and just a great person to be around. They were there at the time he said they would arrive and they set up protective barriers so other rooms would not get dust in them. They had to repair several areas of the floor which had pet and water stains, and they did a very good job replacing the wood and making it look natural. They finished the job in two days, so we were able to put the rooms back together right away. I would recommend this company to anyone needing wood floor work.

Member Comments: Danny and his crew refurbished our kitchen and pantry wood floors. In addition to sanding, staining and putting on three finishing coats they removed the gouges, the scraps from the chairs, fixed nails that were not properly installed and moved a piece of wood that was not properly placed when the floor was originally installed. They worked with me to create a custom color to match the marble flooring that meets the hard wood floors. It looks lovely and is a much warmer and inviting color. The floors look much better than when originally installed. Truly a professional job.
They arrived when scheduled and on time each day. They covered everything in plastic to minimize mess and then did a thorough job in cleaning at night and when the job was completed. They worked around my schedule (I work at home) and our two dogs. Very flexible and accommodating. Danny quoted prices when I wanted custom heat vents placed in the areas. They look great. and disappear as they should.
There was some odor with the stain and the finishing products but not a great deal. In fact, someone dropped by and commented that the smell was not offensive or strong. He had just had their hardwood floors done and he said our odor was much less. It was freezing outside so the house was closed and the furnace running with the fan on 24/7. I do not think the smell was any stronger than when having the walls painted.
I would recommend Modern Quality Flooring to our friends and would use them again when needed.

Description Of Work: Danny and his crew pulled up carpeting in 3 rooms, pulled up tile in the front entrance refinished existing wood floors and installed matching wood floors in the kitchen and den.
Member Comments: I am very happy with my new floors and the service Danny and his crew gave. There was a question of two sliding doors not clearing the newly installed floors but it was quickly resolved and everything came out perfect. Danny also suggested some new 1/4 rounds and other trimming missing that made a big difference. The workers were prompt every day and left the area always very clean. Simply put, the entire experience was outstanding.

They did an outstanding job installing hardwood maple floors in three bedrooms within my desired timeframes at a price that was thousands below competitors estimates. I had originally been a little hesitant as I had wondered if Danny would be able to do quality work at that price.
